Medical Website FAQ’s

How do I get my website up and running?

In order to begin the design and construction of your website, we firstly need a brief chat to understand what your requirements are and a general idea of the size and scope of your site. We can then provide you with a quotation and details of the setup fee. Once the setup fee is received we can begin the design and construction process.

How is my website designed?

The design process of your website consists of a brief chat about your requirements, so we can get an idea of what you like and don’t like. You may well have a logo, letterhead, business cards, etc that may dictate the design, style or brand of the website. Once we have an idea of what is required, we will come up with a design for your site and provide a you with a preview of this new design. We then discussed the design and make changes as necessary until you are happy with the overall look and feel. We then construct the other pages of your website based on this design. And through out the entire construction process you can view the progress of your website via the preview link we provide. This ensures that you end up with a website you are happy with.

Is my website made from a template design?

No! All the websites we create are custom designed to your requirements. We do not use pre-designed templates.

I don’t have a logo. Do I need to get one designed?

No, it is not essential to have a logo. Though certainly advantageous. We have designed many sites without specific logos, just take a look at the “Our work” page to see some of the websites we have created. If you do not have a logo, but would like one designed, we can do this for you. We work with several specialist graphic designers who can assist in creating a logo you can be proud of.

Can you supply images for my website?

Yes. We have access to several image libraries, so can search for appropriate images for your website as required. Images on your site are very important as they greatly influence the look and feel of a website.
There is a small one off charge for the license to use each image.

How much will my website cost?

The cost of your website will depend primarily on the complexity and size of the site (number of pages). Most of the websites we create are content management based, meaning they are based on a small setup fee and then an on-going monthly fee that covers everything you need, including hosting of the site, security updates, website content updates all under the monthly fee. There is a minimum 18 month contract.

What are the on-going costs associated with my website?

The only cost is the monthly fee that covers everything you need. The only other cost is the renewal of your domain name (if registered through us) that is usually every two years.

What if I already have a domain name?

You may well already have a domain name that you would like to use for your website. This is fine. There are two ways you can facilitate this. You can either configure the domain name to point at our servers so it can be used for your website (we can tell you how to do this and in most cases, can do it for you). This means you will continue to pay the company you registered it with for the renewal of the domain and any configuration will be down to that company or yourself.
The other way is to transfer your domain name from the existing company to be under our control (you still own the domain name and can move it to any other host you like) where we can then handle all the configuration and setup for you. You will then pay us for the renewal of the domain name when it’s due (usually every two years).

How do I update my website?

What Hosting service do I need?

If we are creating your website, you do ot need to worry about separate website hosting, as the hosting of your website is included in the on-goiing monthly fee.
If you are on one of our old hosting services. we can upgrade you to our new service website service as part of a new updated website.

Can I use my own hosting service?

Yes. We can design your website and upload it to your own Hosting for you but this is not our preferred way of working as we have no control over the hosting and it’s suitability.
Please be aware that if you use your own hosting, we cannot provide security or backups for your site.
